Pressed chunk fuel peat is made of transitional bog peat with a decomposition degree of not less than 25%.
This solid fuel is easily ignited and can be burned in solid fuel-fired boilers.
The elemental composition of this peat is mainly carbon (up to 60%) and oxygen (up to 30%).
Pressed chunk fuel peat is shaped using a specialised press and can contain up to 10% fine particles.
This type of fuel peat is extracted at the Baloša peatland.
Specific energy (gravimetric energy density): 21.300 MJ/kg
