Peat briquettes, a high-quality solid fuel, are made from lowland bog milled, highly-decomposed peat. The raw material for peat briquettes is produced at the Pabalvė peatland, which is perhaps the only peatland in Lithuania having such a very high calorific value for raw fuel peat. This peat is dried to 22% moisture content, after which it is pressed to form 180x80x(30-70) mm peat briquettes.
